Hello there! My name is Chris, but you can call me Batman, and I am raising money for my 501(c)(3) animal rescue nonprofit called Batman4Paws.

Our story:

It all started around 2014 when my dad decided to adopt a rescue dog.  A quick search of the Internet turned up a wide-eyed, happy go lucky, super chill, tri-colored Australian Shepherd. It just so happened that this Australian Shepherd was no ordinary Aussie. He had quite the back-story. He was found wandering around the woods in Alabama emaciated and covered in fleas and ticks. With the help of Dog Liberator and another nonprofit named PilotsnPaws, as well as pilot extraordinaire Jeff Bennett, they organized and facilitated the transportation and rescue of this scruffy looking pooch.

As Jeff flew this motley looking Aussie to his new foster home he dubbed him Mr. Boots on account of his big old paws. It was coincidentally around this time that I was on the final stretch of earning my own Private Pilots License. Mr.Bootsie's story inspired me to want to give back and help other animals in need too. It took me some major thinking while in the shower but it finally hit me and I came up with a way of taking my passion of flying and combining it with my love of animals.

As a child I looked up to the values that super heroes such as Batman reflected and thought that would be the perfect vessel to embody the spirit of goodwill. Thus the crazy idea of Batman4Paws was born. I would help rescue animals in need anyway I can, all while dressed as the Dark Knight himself and becoming a symbol for helping those in need.

What we do:

To make my dream reality, I established Batman4Paws as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to rescue and transport dogs, cats, and other animals in need to furever homes, no-kill facilities, and foster homes throughout the state of Florida and beyond. Transports are done personally by me (Batman!) using any means necessary, although I prefer to fly.

How you can help:

We've set a new goal of $15,000 to bring our mission to more animals.  Here's a look at what your donations can do:

Goal #1 - $1,000 will bring Batman on around 15 rescue missions
Goal #2 - $3,000 will aid in around 45 missions
Goal #3 - $5,000 will aid in over 75 missions

Think of what $15,000 can do!

Funds donated will be sent directly to Batman4Paws and used mainly for well fare and transportation expenses for dogs, cats and other animals to no-kill shelters, fosters and fur-ever homes!

Hey there Supporters! Quick update on Batman and Robins latest rescue. Batman was able to get a Schnauzer named Linda from Miami to a forever home up in South Carolina. Her story is quite intriguing and begins in Venezuela which has been ravaged by corruption and reckless economic policy as of late creating a serious economic decline in the country. People are struggling to find food to eat themselves let alone their pets. Linda’s owner in Venezuela luckily knew some people in government and instead of getting her self out chose to get her precious Schnauzer out. That’s when she met her new foster mom and angel Lizzette with God Made Dog Rescue. Lizzette and a man named Howie helped nurse the emaciated Linda Back to good health and even got 3 possibly cancerous tumors taken care of. Lizzette was also able to find her a loving furever home with a woman named Rosemary. Batman and Robin were happy to assist in getting this doggo to her forever home where she is finally able to rest easy.

Batman’s next rescue is slated for this Saturday (the 13th) where he will be transporting 4 special needs kittens that have Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). There are still 4 open legs. Feel free to sign up here if you’re in the Virginia/Carolina area and would like to help!

Batman is happy to report that his trip to Vermont went off with out a hitch. He was able to get Bella to a forever home in Delaware and Ty a 9 year old senior American Bully and two pit bull puppies to a no kill shelter in Middlebury Vermont called Homewardbound. It was definitely Batman’s longest and hardest rescue to date but he’s happy that he was able to make it back safe and sound to Orlando. He’s all rested up and ready for his next rescue mission on the 24th helping get a mix breed dog to New Hampshire for the Polk County Bully Project who is trying to make Polk County no kill by 2025. Thanks for all your Support! Batman signing off.

When Batman got a call yesterday about a Euth listed cat at the Pet Resource Center of Tampa who needed transporting he was happy to jump into action. The cat was a FIV+ feline named Gator, who was picked up from his foster home at United Paws Rescue in Tampa and safely transported to his fur-ever home with Jo in Palm Bay. As you might remember, a couple of weeks ago Jo gave two cats a fur-ever home, so Gator is now also a proud brother to Alana and Trouble! You rock Jo!

Hope you all are doing well. A little update on Batman’s current adventures. Yesterday he was able to transport this little Blind Yorkie from West Palm Beach to a foster momma in Lakeland where she will be able to find a loving forever home.

Batman will also be doing his first dual Transport Rescue, as well as longest Rescue yet. Batman will be driving all the way from Orlando to Vermont on the 11th to deliver 3 Bull Dog pups. In addition to this there will be a second Rescue dog named Bella from the Pet Resource Center of Tampa who will be making her way to Delaware after Batman hands her off on his layover spot in Pennsylvania.

Hope you all have a great day and thanks again for all the support!
