Homeless #chilokids of Skid Row Disney Land Trip
On December 23, we met this little girl, her mother, and over 30 other homeless children and parents at our event in Skid Row, Downtown Los Angeles, CA.
In coordination with the Union Rescue Mission shelter, we are sending her and 29 other children along with their parents to Disneyland on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Donations will help towards chartering the bus, paying the driver, purchasing meals, tickets, souvenirs and making lots of laughs, love and a priceless memory or two.
All donations welcome.
FYI: $269 sponsors the whole evening for one child.
Tax write off letters available upon request.
**Chilo Foundation is a registered CA 501 C3 (non-profit)**
I can't emphasize how important these planned trips are for the ChiloKids.
Our biggest trip to date, a three day camping trip, $280 to sponsor a child, please follow this link to donate...
I will not lie My relationship with god was questioned my sanity i almost lost but my beautiful girls filled that void of failure that is felt once you realize the reality you are facing when you can’t leave and you are told when to eat cook etc. A schedule is given to you and you face criticism and judgement from those in authority positions. God knew my struggle and just before I would give up he would set in my path a family shelter called family promise because of them i was saved. The support and love the congregations and case manager Art are extraordinary souls. They helped me continue my college degree in psychology and it igniting so much motivation in me I would also pursue my masters in social work. A beautiful journey it became they also gave us experience just like the one we are fundraising for . The fact I was being treated like a person and not a criminal made all the difference my daughters demonstrated amazing strength in adapting and coping with our situation i know that having those experiences helped me be grateful and pursue my dream of ones again having a home. My broken spirit needed family promise and they helped inspire myself to never give up. Now I get to pay back all the great experience and new relationships i was able to welcome into my life . People that had financial freedom and a huge heart to help those in need . I still have the priviledge to have them in my life they are some of my biggest cheerleaders so help us strengthen more families and let’s continue this ripple of kindness with Chilo Foundation and the families in skid row . Thank you for your time ...
