Help Connect Burnaby
Seniors, families and individuals in Burnaby are in need of phones, tablets and computers (laptops) to stay connected during COVID-19.
Burnaby needs your help! Many people in Burnaby still do not have a device that can connect to the internet.
This is not okay.
As we all continue to do our part to social distance, connecting to our family and social supports, work opportunities and learning is all happening online. It is vitally important that seniors, families, and individuals that need devices have a way to access them. Digital Access Burnaby* is now asking for financial contributions so that devices can be purchased for those in need. London Drugs has kindly offered to sell devices at cost.
Since COVID-19, BNH, in conjunction with Digital Access Burnaby*, have been seeking donations of used tech devices and have recently received a donation of tech devices from Microsoft and an anonymous donation of $1000. These are amazing contributions! But too many people still need devices.
Can you help today? No donation is too small! Tax receipts are issued for donations of $20 or more only.
Also:
If you have an old smart cell phone, tablet, or laptop–in working condition, Digital Access Burnaby* will distribute your donated device to those in need through local non-profits and social service agencies.
