Please Help Raise Funds For Trius and aiM

Covid-19 has really negatively affected families, businesses and the world on a variety of levels.  Small businesses have been severely hit, especially small restaurants.  On June 7, 2020, the family owned restaurant, Trius + aiM, was forced to pack up everything and end their business because of the unfair demands from their landlord due to the outcomes of this pandemic.  They fought as hard as they could to keep their love, Trius + aiM.  However, their landlord had no remorse for how the pandemic was really negatively affecting their business, told them to “not play the victim” and literally locked the doors on them.  Although Premier Doug Ford implemented a new legislation to ban landlords from evicting small businesses, this legislation was implemented a day too late to help save this business.  They did not want this outcome and ultimately lost the fight. This was an extremely emotional day for the owners, their workers, family and friends, the many customers and the neighbourhood.

Trius + aiM was established by Daniel and his wife Irina.  Trius + aiM is a family owned bistro, catering and events company.  They both put a lot of hard work, sacrifice, struggle, passion and love into renovating, transforming and building this restaurant into what it is today.  Trius + aiM has been in business for almost two years and quickly became a neighbourhood favourite due to its one of a kind atmosphere.  Not only did Trius + aiM offer many delicious and healthy meals, they also offered a very warm, fun and welcoming environment.  They have met many neighbourhood locals and created great personal relationships with their customers.

I am Daniel’s sister and the closure of this family owned business has literally broke my heart and left me in tears because I know first hand how much this business meant to my brother, Daniel, his wife Irina and the family.  They were so passionate about creating this restaurant that they could call their own and could pass down to their children.  Their passion and love for what they were doing was so radiant that anybody that stepped foot inside this gem felt it. They loved what they were able to bring to their family and especially to the community.

This Go Fund Me will tremendously help this family seek justice for what was literally snatched from them over their landlord’s unfairness and help ensure that this devastating step back does not hinder them from continuing their business.  Please help me gather funds to assist my brother, his wife and to save their business.  Your support will aid tremendously and I am truly thankful for you help.
