Help Stan's Recovery

In the early morning of May 3rd, Cody and Amanda's dog, Stan was driven over by a full size truck before he bolted into the bush in the Mountain Road area/Koksilah. ROAM and FLED were involved along with volunteers, friends and family to help find him. The bush is thick in this area. The search continued into the evening but no sign of Stan. His family crushed that they may not see him again, and certainly fearing the worst possible outcome, the search ended for the night. In the early morning hours of May 4th as Cody stepped outside the house to have another breakdown, he heard Stan's collar in the silence - Stan appeared - he was walking on his own, but in bad shape.

Cody and Amanda immediately took him to WAVES Emergency Animal Hospital to receive medical care.

The extent of his injuries is not fully known at the time of writing, however his prognosis is so far looking encouraging. He has a fractured face, internal bleeding, some air in his chest cavity and minor liver damage. The veterinary bills are an added stress and hopefully the community can come together to help Cody and Amanda provide the care Stan needs for a speedy recovery.

Stan is a vibrant 4 year old, and a jumping athlete. Let's get him back to doing all the things he loves doing!
