Overturn precedent-setting dangerous CCO decision

Hi, my name is Wayne Anthony Street, my partner is Rachelle Lillian Totten. We have four children together. Julian is 4, Victoria is 6, Rosie is 11, and Destiny is 15.

Last week, the unthinkable happened. After being patient and complying with the process over three years to get a hearing to get our children back,  after they were removed by a social worker because she did not like the smell of cannabis.

A terrible miscarriage of justice has occurred, and the judge awarded a CCO (Continuing Care Order) based on her prejudicial and discriminatory fear, that is completely unfounded and 100% incorrect, that Cannabis is somehow harmful, even if the children are not at home when it is used.

This decision sets a very dangerous precedent that may justify social workers removing children from any home where they smell cannabis.

As we know, there's no evidence cannabis has ever cause any harm to anyone of any age. Yet, the judge refuses to acknowledge this as a fact, and  to protect my children from Cannabis and people who use it  she ordered permanent placement for our  children away from their parents  and has terminated our parental rights.

We need money to obtain court transcripts from a 37 day trial, and to retain a lawyer to overturn this judgment. We will need far more than the $10,000 we are asking for, we're hoping this will be enough to get the ball rolling.
