Protect Public Education Lawn Sign Campaign

Teachers, parents and supporters of public education are launching a lawn sign campaign to spread awareness about the new K-6 curriculum draft that the UCP government has put out. We would like to ensure that as many Albertan's as possible share their input on the engagement survey and provide reliable resources to have discussions surrounding this problematic proposed curriculum. This initiative is aimed at providing the public with credible information regarding the government's document and offer links to where people can access the engagement survey and how they can get involved in grassroots community initiatives to help get their voices heard. We need to create a constructive dialogue about what needs to be addressed in this draft and increase awareness about these changes so that if there is a new curriculum implemented, it will be inclusive, meaningful, and effective. A more general focus on protecting public education underlies this initiative, it will hopefully help bring Albertans together so we can ensure our students and children are equipped with the best public education our province can provide.

A designer has generously donated their time to design and print for us, but we need funds to cover the cost of the actual signs.

If you donate $15 or more then you will get a lawn sign for your house.
If you donate less than $15 you can have a choice of a digital copy of the design, a pin or a sticker with the same slogan.

We will link information and resources for people to explore on the sign. This will help spread awareness about changes to education that will greatly impact the future of public education in Alberta.
