Ryan Oliver's Memorial Fund for his children

55834074_1617664556179846_r.jpeg55834074_1617664583325607_r.jpegWith a very heavy heart I am sharing that my big brother, Ryan Oliver, suddenly passed away on April 2, 2021 at the young age of 37. Ryan leaves behind three beautiful children, Reece, Kyrin and Valyn. Ryan was happiest with his children, they truly were the light of his life.

If you knew Ryan you knew that his life was checkered with struggle and hardship. It seemed that the only time his life gave him moments of happiness was when he was with his children enjoying their happiness, laughter, curiosity, wit, and innocence.

When Reece (20) was little Ryan was diligent in fostering a love of books with her. He often read to her and with her at bedtime. Reece and her Dad loved the book series "Lone Wolf and Cub" by writer Kazuo Koike and artist Goseki Kojima.

Ryan spent many nights reading with Kyrin(7) and passing on his love of books to his son too. They also liked to rough house and have "Epic Battles". Most importantly Ryan prepped Kyrin to be an awesome video gamer, they're favourite was Minecraft and Among Us.

Ryan's youngest, Valyn, loved making her Dad laugh with her funny antics. Ryan ensured that Valyn developed a love for the outdoors. They were constantly outside exploring together. At 21-months old Valyn is not at the age where she is speaking but she does not hesitate to ask to go outside by attempting to dress herself in her outside clothes.

I know that Ryan wants the best for his children and we hope that this fund can assist in making life a little bit easier moving forward. His time on earth was cut short but he was still able to give a little piece of himself to each of his children that will live on forever. We hope that we can continue to support his children so that we can see them flourish into the beautiful people Ryan knew they  would become.

It is devastating to our family knowing that Ryan loved his children so much and was taken away so soon. At this time it is unclear what the cause of death is but we will receive a more clear answer in 2-4 months from his autopsy that was conducted earlier this week.

A truly kind and loving gentle giant. “Granny’s little boy blue” “Ya-ya” “Ry pie”.
We are heart broken. We will forever miss our Dad, Son, Brother and Friend.

This fund will be accessible to my parents, Randy and Mary Oliver, to put into a trust for each of the children.
