Trip to New York for Sept 11 Remembrance Project

For the 20th anniversary of 9/11, students across the nation have been selected to stand with first responders and military members to honor those who lost their life as part of the "9/11 Flag of Honor Across America Memorial." Students at Elevate Academy in Caldwell, Idaho have been selected as one of only 25 official projects to participate in this event. In an effort to help our students understand the magnitude of the events of that day and their part in honoring the lives lost, they will be traveling with educators and first responders to New York, September 1st-5th for a first hand experience. They will visit Ground Zero, the 9/11 Memorial Museum, and speak with survivors. This is where we need your help. We can only do so much in the classroom to teach our students about this day. We believe their in person experiences in New York will provide insight and perspective that could not be gained in any other environment. We are hoping to raise money to cover food, travel, and lodging expenses for the students. We would greatly appreciate if you could share our story and/or make a donation to help us with this opportunity.
