Women In Aviation Association

Welcome to WIAA! Women in Aviation Association which has a mission to directly fund the education of women pilots in Canada. Our goal is to be able to sponsor two women a year to complete their ATLP or CPL course so they can then get a job at an airline.

WIAA ; Women In Aviation Association. WIAA has a mission to help, fund and promote women pilots in Canada. WIAA has partnered with IPA International Pilot Academy the leading piloting school in Gatineau and GOSS Magazine, the first business oriented woman’s magazine certified by the Guinness World Records, to launch this project. With our partners, WIAA will strive to bring the best quality of experts in the aviation industry, and to promote it in
such a way that get it into the hands of the right women.

As you may not be aware, to date there are less than 6% female registered airline transport pilots in Canada. However, women are known to be agile, receptive and excellent pilots and even with this small percentile on the scale, these women are changing the industry actively. A perfect example would be Pilot Taylor Craftsman, who is Air Canada’s youngest female captain.

We understand and are humbled by the fact that we can’t do this alone, the more help we can get the better. The importance of collaborating with corporations such as yourself can enable us to reach a bigger scale of resources, and amplify our goals. With your support and the assistance of our partner IPA, we will empower women and provide them with the environment to become future pilots who will change the face of the aviation industry.
