This fund has been created to help support the families of the four victims lost on August 10th, 2018 in Fredericton, NB. Losses include two members of the Fredericton Police force as well as two members of the general public.

All proceeds will be given directly to the families who have suffered this unfathomable event. If a family prefers to not receive the funds from this source, those funds will then be allocated towards the families that do accept the donation.  I am working closely with the GoFundMe Team and all funds will be held until the best method of withdrawal has been established! I am working tirelessly to make sure every one of my intentions is carried out successfully and without any hiccups.

Monetary assistance will never heal all wounds, however, it will help with the expenses that are incurred with devastating losses such as these.

EDIT: My name is Scott Pettigrew. I do not know any of the members personally. I have created this fund as a member of the public who is hoping to make a positive impact on the families who have lost loved ones.

Dear Donors & Followers,

This is my final update. I am reaching out to you to inform you that the funds have all been distributed!

The funds were sent to Brenda Wright (Bobbie Lee's Mother), Ron & Jean Robichaud (Donnie Robichaud) and the Fredericton Community Foundation Funds set up for both Sara and Robb.

Thank you ALL for your support and kind donations!

Cheers,

Scott

Hello All;

It has now been over 1 month since the tragic North Side shootings. I'm sincerely hoping that everyone affected is doing substantially better as time passes.

I have been prompted by a few people to inform our Donors & Followers about any updates that have occurred since the introductory stages of this funding campaign.

While we may not have been able to raise all the funds we had hoped for, we still managed to receive an incredible amount of support. I want to personally thank all donors and followers! YOUR contributions and kind words have been incredible and you yourselves are the definition of a supportive and loving community!

I have reached out to the families/organizations of the lost members of our community. They have been notified of the funds and we are currently working out exactly how these funds will find their way to them. GoFundMe has been excellent in helping myself through the withdrawal process and we are nearing the final stages of this fund.

The fund will soon be closed off to the general public.

The families of both Donnie Robichaud and Bobbie-Lee Wright will be receiving the funds directly. As for the funds for Robb Costello and Sara Burns, I have been instructed to direct the donated sums to the Fredericton Community Foundation ( https://www.fredfdn.ca/). The funds will be put towards Sara Burns' and Robb Costello's respective Police Memorial Funds.

I will add another update in the coming weeks (hopefully earlier) once the process is terminated and all the funds have been distributed to the families.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment on this page and I will do my best to address your concerns!

Thanks again to everyone who has been supportive!

Cheers,

Scott

There has been a communal uproar from individuals who worry that my intentions are negative.

The Fredericton Police Force has publicly announced that they do not wish to be associated with this campaign. In light of their public announcement, this GoFundMe campaign has slowed down considerably.

This campaign - which is directly aimed to help the families of the individuals lost - has been shared on all social medias 400 times. In comparison, the public denouncing of this fund by the Police Force has been spread nearly 5000 times. It's unfortunate to see as many of the people spreading the harmless post have been extremely rude, and insensitive to the cause and my intentions.

I will continue to raise funds for the families (who DO wish to accept my help) and will do my absolute best to make sure people understand that my intentions are pure in nature.

This is a community of support. Let's not rush to conclusions. Instead, let's work together.

Scott.

The final loss of the Brookside Dr. shootings was identified as Bobbie Lee Wright.

All victims have been accounted for and I will soon reach out to the families. I will be allowing a period of time for the situation to settle before reaching out as I am sure the families have enough on their minds at the moment.

This campaign will be updated once I have reached out to the families and informed them of the funding.

Thank you to all who have circulated this campaign and an even greater thanks to everyone who has given generously to this cause!
